My name is Alison, and I first fell in love with music at 2 years-old in my Suzuki piano class. My love for piano branched out into singing and theatre, and after studying vocal performance and theatre at Florida State University, I became a professional actress and singer. In 2005, I opened a theatre company and began teaching private voice lessons.
When COVID came along, a lot changed, including my home address. I had always wanted to live on the coast "some day", and if COVID taught us anything, it was that "some day" may not be there like we hope.
In 2022, I moved from my hometown of Peachtree City, Georgia to Saint Helena Island, South Carolina, and I couldn't be happier. After becoming a single mom by choice to a brilliant, beautiful daughter (who is now 2.5 years-old), I reconnected with my love of music and sought ways to introduce it to her and include her in it.
And that brings us to.... NOW!
I am 3 recorded and submitted practicum lessons (for ages 0-12 months, 2-3 years-old, and 4 year-olds) away from being accredited to teach Kindermusik and opening my Kindermusik and voice studio here. Kindermusik classes will be available from ages 0-7 years, and private voice lessons and audition preparation classes will be available for ages 7 and up. Adults, too!

I also have some other big plans for The Cat's Meow Productions. Think cabarets, plays, and historical immersion events, but first... Kindermusik.
